If you need to step away from the game for a while we always appreciate a heads up and so do your fellow players. Informing others of a hiatus by posting it here can help your fellow players plan around your absences and helps the mods avoid involving your character in a plot that the character will not be here for. It is up to the players to determine an IC reason for their character's absence or work out with their close cr what the character will be doing while they are gone.
A hiatus of longer than 10 days and communication with the mod team can prevent you from getting a strike for the month's activity check should you fail to make AC. You will still need to respond to ac unless you will be gone during the activity check and have already let the mod team know you will not be able to post your activity that month.
If you take a hiatus instead of reporting activity you may not take a hiatus or a strike the following month unless the mods have worked out an alternative with you.
🜙 Taking an Extended Hiatus
If your hiatus lasts more than two weeks, you have the option to pm the mod team when you are ready for your character to return to the game. If you choose to do so, the mod team will offer a few plot-relevant possibilities for you to use to explain your characters longer disappearance from the game, which you can then use to help re-immerse yourself and your character in the current game plot.
Choosing to do this is entirely optional and players may still choose to handwave their character's actions while missing instead of this, or after their pm if they would prefer it over any of the options offered in the mod response. .
🜙 Dropping the Game
We are sorry to see you go but glad to see you here using the drop page as it is intended. If you drop a character through the drop page their removal will be processed by the mod team and you will be able to app a new character as soon as the drop is processed. If your character is dropped due to activity failure/idling out, your character will be removed from the game and you will be unable to app another character for 30 days.
We appreciate it when players take the time to use the drop page as it allows us to quickly and efficiently remove characters who are no longer active from the game, avoiding inactive characters being placed in plot-relevant roles and freeing the character up for other players if they were a canon character.
