Hey, mods! I have a silly character-specific question to ask. The character I'm considering apping has the weird quirk of never parting with his sunglasses, as it has both sentimental value to him and is a representation of his upbringing and of the way he interacts with the people around him (emotionally closed off, putting on a fake cool front). Since it's such a major part of his character, I would very much like to carry them over into his AU background somehow, but I understand that shades are kind of an anachronism here - would there happen to be any equivalent to them in this setting that I could use to serve a similar purpose?
