1/2. A wizard is any individual who is assumed to have had academy teachings or thorough study in a specific area or areas of magic use and provides the use or knowledge of magic they have gained to others as a profession. It is a highly respected position and many wizards are sought out as mentors, teachers, or specialists.

3. Yes! Wizards were often sought after to be part of the advisor courts of the city rulers. This would most often be referred to as ___ Specialist or Wizard of ____ followed by the added title of to the royal court. The blank would usually be their particular chosen specialization. This would be most common in Thalassa or Krimnos, while AtrĂ³mitos more often employed battle mages or more hands-on offensive specialists.

4. In some places and schools, aspects of arcane magic such as charms, elemental shadow magic, and magic that directly affects or hinders a person's control over themselves is not taught and may be forbidden. Additionally, many of those who lived in villages outside of the major cities were openly distrustful and suspicious of alchemy, most arcane magic, and shapeshifting.

5. There were wards placed by both the dragons and the higher class mages and wizards on all three cities, usually for the protection against creature or open lander attacks but also against opposing forces during the Last Great War.

6. sexual orientation prejudices may exist in Idan but they are on a personal basis more than kingdom or city-wide. There were no specific stigmas around sexual orientations as a whole but several races, especially those of some of the former open-landers (Orcs, Goblins, Gremlins) and the more traditional (elves and dwarves in the past, not very common in modern times) had varying levels of social faux pas/discomfort/outright disgust toward same-sex sexual orientation.

As a whole Idan is very accepting but individual occurrences of discrimination may still exist. Discrimination over opposite-sex couples of differing races is more wide-spread.
